Drag & Drop bug fix / What’s happening?
Hey folks,
we just fixed a weird bug that would cause tasks to double in size after a drag & drop to a different day. ‘Do Homework’ would turn into ‘Do HomeworkDo Homework’ - no good. Turns out this was a little left-over from the recent switch to jQuery UI but nothing serious.
Meanwhile Tim and I are working hard on getting automated billing working so we can finally launch and move on to implement more fun features. If you’re interested in pricing: We’re aiming at a monthly fee of $5 for the application as it is right now, and newly developed functionality would get packaged with more expensive plans. If you have any thoughts about this, feel free to comment : ).

I think that you should leave some sort of free-version of the application, mainly because there is a lot of free competition around!
But I’m sure you’ve carefully thought about pricing before posting this while I’m just thinking loud.
Keep the great work going!

Matias: We’re not afraid of competition that doesn’t have a plan how to make money : ). However, there will definitely be a free trial version and after the trial period expires we might just limit you to 5 tasks a day or something. How does that sound for a compromise?

As a user, I don’t like trials. I prefer limited free version because I know that whatever I’m doing with that software, I’ll be able to keep doing it till I want. Then if the full version of the software has valuable features that I could use, i’ll switch to a full account.
An example of this is Flickr, they give you unlimited storage for your photos (the main use of the service), but a limited way of organize them. As you upload more photos, your need for organizing them grows.
Maybe this model could work with post task, offering the basic time control stuff for free but providing
featured members cool tools to organize, analize and measure their work (and productivity).
Please understand that this is just me sharing my thoughts and not criticizing what you do.
I apologise for any language mistakes I could have made.

Matias: We’ll most likely have a free limited version.
