About

The Application

Managing your tasks can be a very time consuming task itself. With PostTask, we have created an interface that allows you to get an overview of your tasks, knowing how much you need to do and when you can be finished with your work, being able to spend your time on the more interesting things in life.

To-Do Lists that get lost or mobile calendars that make you lose sight of your goals will become needless, because PostTask unites it all: task management, time Management, having an overview about the progress of your projects. Arrange tasks in contexts to keep track of how much time you spend on Errands, Projects, Freetime and Co. Set your ideals and track your progress on them.

We began work on PostTask in 2007. With a simple idea in mind we now have a web application with many different features and are still working on more for your comfort.

Please support us by giving feedback! We constantly would like to hear your ideas about new features and other enhancement. We want to build an application that makes sense not only to us, but also to our users. Please let us know via email.

After you’re done, schedule some fun!

The Team

Felix Geisendörfer is responsible for any complaints regarding the philosophy of this application. During his time as a freelancer from 2006-2007 he was looking for a better way mange his time and came up with the PostTask way of doing things.

When he is not busy exploring the boundaries of Ajax development, Felix likes listening to good music, hang out with friends and drink some beer. Oh and he also has a slight obsession with squirrels ; ).

His programming blog is: ThinkingPHP.

Tim Koschützki is a successful freelance Web developer and computer expert with over 8 years of expertise. He has been constantly looking out for new ways to improve his productivty and thus he teamed up with Felix to create this wonderful application.

Tim is studying computer science at a Berlin university. In his free-time he enjoys playing table-soccer, hanging out with friends, swimming and listening to good music.

Tim is the author of the PHP Weblog PHP Coding Practices.

Thanks / Credits

At this point we want to mention some people who have been very helpful with making this application happening (in no particular order). Lets begin with Jeffrey Goldsmith who came up with the name PostTask. Then there is Henry Acevedo who has been a great help with setting up and maintaining our two servers. We also want to thank Mark James for creating the wonderful silk icon set we are using. Oh and of course some big hugs go out to the people behind some of the technologies we are heaviliy using, namely: CakePHP and jQuery. Last but not least, a huge thanks goes out to everybody who has been helping to test PostTask.com so far and made good suggestions on improving it (Nate, Andrew, Cindy, Garrett, etc. you know who you are).

Thanks to all of you and those we forgot to mention as well!

For the fun of it, here are some screenshots showing how the application has evolved over time:
